Rail Trail Connection Celebrations

Join Tablelands Regional Council and Mareeba Shire Council to celebrate the joining of the Atherton Tablelands Rail Trail.

‘It’s fantastic to see our two regions joined by this important community asset,’ said Cycling Advisory Committee Chair Deputy Mayor Dave Bilney.

‘Cyclists, walkers, runners and horseriders can now experience the 35km trail from Hasties Swamp National Park south of Atherton to McIver Road in Mareeba.

‘We’re keen to see everyone at the Walkamin Social Club at 8am on Saturday 7 December for cake and celebrations,’ Deputy Mayor Bilney said.

Tea and coffee will be available for purchase.
