There is regulated parking within the Atherton central business district to improve traffic flow, access to businesses and availability of parking for the disabled.
Regulated parking hours are generally 8am–5pm weekdays and 8am–12noon Saturdays. Signs at the beginning of each parking bay define parking timeframes. This is indicated by the number at the top of the sign next to the P. For example 3P means you can park in the bay for 3hr, 2P for 2hr, etc.
We provides ample unregulated parking areas in Atherton. There is off-street parking on Railway Lane, adjacent to the Vernon Street/Mabel Street roundabout and behind the visitor centre on Main Street.
